Following the short meeting, we will repair to the private room of nearby Capri Ristorante for our Festive Board. I have been asked to speak at this meeting, and I will present one the brethren haven't heard before (yes, honestly): Freemasons and Utopia in the American Colonies.
The presentation is not restricted to Masons, and wives and guests are welcome to attend.
Capri is located at 2602 Ruth Drive (turn into the main Wal-Mart entrance just north of 71st and Keystone). The Festive Board will begin at 8:30PM. Each attendee is responsible for their meal costs.
Vitruvian is a "European Concept" lodge. Members and officers are expected to dress in tuxedo, and visitors are requested to do likewise or in business attire. But don't let that keep you away.
And just to get it on your calendar, our annual Robert Burns Night will be held Tuesday, July 26th. Lodge will open at 7:00PM, and dinner will follow at The Aristocrat Pub's Oxford Room. Our Brothers Mark and Samuel Lawson will lead our music and festivities. CLICK HERE for reservations.
(After several years of being snowed out in January in an attempt to celebrate Burns' birth, we have instead been celebrating this event on or around the date of his death in July. The practicality of common sense and Midwest weather had to step in.)
