ReplyDeleteI've also heard it said that something becomes tradition when we've forgetten why we do something.
I've heard things like alumni of my organization going back to their chapters and have the current members tell the newbies stuff that is 'tradition, we've always done it' when the alumn knew that was never done that way when they were in...
Or to quote my friend Mark Tabbert, we used to have secrets. Now we have have Alzheimer's.
