From Brother John Bridegroom:
MASONIC FRAUD ALERT: Umer Junjuajunjua and his company UHA Embroidery, have contracted with me on a project which I wired him $350. Another associate of mine did as well at the same time for $200. The items never arrived, and we have been getting the runaround for several weeks. He refuses to offer a solution, and it appears as if we were cheated.
ALL MASONS SHOULD BE AWARE OF THIS, AND DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS MAN OR HIS COMPANY.
The Company, UHA Embroidery, is located at P.O. Box. 971, Neka Pura, Allama Iqbal Street No. 1, Punjab, Sialkot 51310, Pakistan.
Also known as Umer Shehroze, he is associated with Maqsood Ahmed. Other name variations are also likely, BEWARE of PAKISTAN MASONIC EMBROIDERY.
Again, I URGE ALL MEMBERS OF THE CRAFT TO CEASE RELATIONS WITH THESE INDIVIDUALS.
First problem, brother....you trusted a Pakistani man, whom you needed to wire money to. Never trust anyone that requests you to "wire" money. It's not safe.
ReplyDeleteFrankly, all those South Asian fraternal supply spam emails I get? They go straight into the junk folder and their domains are blacklisted.
ReplyDeleteI'll buy from people I figure I have half a chance of forcing to make a bad order right, thanks.
Brothers,
ReplyDeleteTry to shop for Masonic items at reputable Masonic retail outlets. The following will meet your Masonic shopping needs:
Founded by a Mason in 1849, Macoy Publishing & Masonic Supply (Macoy.com) is a good company with a solid reputation for high quality Masonic products. I bought my Past High Priest Ring from Macoy years ago and still recieve praise of it's wonderful craftsmanship from our British and American brethren whenever I wear it.
Porreda Premier Gifts (Porreda.com), estalished 1990, is a British Company offering a wide variety of Masonic and non-Masonic products of high quality within a reasonable price range. I bought jewelry from them. Of great interest is the large range of Ladies gifts available from Porreda. They are lovely.
Toye Kenning & Spencer, since 1685, (thetoyeshop.com) is a British family owned company Which provides custom embroidery for Masonic, Civil, and Military Orders. They are considered masters of their craft and are one of the few British companies with a Royal Warrant to Queen Elizabeth II. They proudly produce the official regalia for the Order of the British Empire and the regalia for other Orders presided over by the Queen.
Harry Klitzner Company (founded in 1907) is the size of a whole city block! They have a wide range of products for the Masonic family, B.P.O.E. Elks, F.O.E. Eagles, Knights of Columbus, and the I.O.O.F. Odd Fellows. I have shopped from them many times and have never been disappointed.
Geo. Lauterer Corp (since 1881) is a unique Masonic supplier and supplier of non-Masonic/Church groups. They offer a large variety of affordable custom made Masonic Aprons of excellent quality. I bought my custom made Craft and Past High Priest aprons from them years ago and I am very pleased.
Freemason Collection (since 2005-Freemasoncollection.com) is operated by Freemasons who proudly brag they have "The most beautiful Regalia of Freemasonry." Well, they most certainly do have one of the most beautiful Masonic Ancient Lambskin Apron Collections in the whole world. They also have unique Masonic Flasks, Floor coverings, Art-Work, and other items. I have bought a Masonic painting and incredible French early XIXth century Symbolic Apron from them, both of which I had framed.
The Master's Jewel, founded and operated by a Brother Mason who knows his Masonry, (www.mastersjewel.com) offers a wide variety a custom made high quality unique Masonic jewelry you will find no where else. I own several of their items and often wear my Vide, Adude, Tace Ring, with pride.
The above list is by no means exaustive, but it is a good start and will keep you from getting ripped off of your hard earned cash. Always be very careful when shopping for Masonic items on ebay.
And check to make sure the metals are really precious or the diamonds are real before buying Masonic Jewelry from a Pawn Shop. :)
While understand the concerns of the previous Brethren, most bullion embroidery work comes from Pakistan. I have contracted with Khalida Embroidery Works on several occasions and found them reputable.
