Nathan Brindle, PM
Congratulations to my friend and brother, Nathan C. Brindle, who has been elected Deputy Master of the Adoniram Lodge of Perfection of the Indianapolis Valley of the Scottish Rite.
Nathan and I have been friends for more than 30 years. We joined Broad Ripple Lodge No. 643 together in 1998, were raised on the same day, served as Masters of the lodge, and we were officers together when Lodge Vitruvian No. 767 was started in Indianapolis. He and I serve together on the Indianapolis Masonic Temple Board where he is Secretary, and he is the Secretary of the Masonic Society, in addition to being Vitruvian's Secretary since 2001. A bigger glutton for punishment I've rarely known. And a greater friend I have never known.
Elected to the top posts in each officers' line on Wednesday were: Gregory N. Jordan, Thrice Potent Master; Brian C. Lewis, Sovereign Prince; Michael W. KIepper, Most Wise Master; and R. Michael Gillie, Jr., Commander-in-Chief. My best to all of them for the coming year.
The Valley of Indianapolis is the largest Scottish Rite Valley in the world, and our Cathedral is the largest of its kind, solely dedicated to the Rite.

Good Lord. For a minute I thought was reading my obituary :)
ReplyDeleteNah. Just saying thanks to a guy who doesn't hear it very often.
ReplyDeleteDitto on the not hearing it often enough. If you're the principal officer of an organization, having Nathan as your secretary is the greatest gift you could ever want. Congratulations, brother.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Nathan! It couldn't be your obituary as Sally has too many more good years planned with you!
