World War I ended on November 11th, 1918 with a cease-fire signed with Germany at Rethondes in France. Between the two world wars it was celebrated as Armistice Day in the United States, France and Great Britain. After World War II, the holiday was recognized as a day of tribute to veterans of both world wars. Beginning in 1954, the United States designated November 11 as Veterans Day to honor veterans of all U.S. wars.

I had the pleasure of attending the Toledo AASR this past Sat. Nov.11 and also had the pleasure of hearing and meeting Chris.
ReplyDeleteOne thing that I wanted to comment on is secrecy. Later that day I talked with a young brother. He commented that people his age likes the idea of secrecy as it adds an air of mystery to the whole thing.
I remember back in the spring on Good Morning America one of the heads of the AASR said that we really don't have any secrets but it's kind of fun pretending that we do.
After all we are going to take over the world once we decide what we are going to have for dinner after the meeting.
