I put on 25 lbs for the first 5 years that I was a Mason. Now I'm working very hard to get rid of them, and being around steaks, ribs, and chocolate cake once a week is way too tempting.Tom Accuostihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07005315193581153959noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25683662.post-69133583251633218572008-06-03T19:15:00.000-04:002008-06-03T19:15:00.000-04:00Chris,In all seriousness, I would suggest all 4 in...Chris,

In all seriousness, I would suggest all 4 in that photo lose weight as soon as possible. I make this statement out of genuine concern for your health. I happen to witness 2 co-workers pass on at work before my eyes, one 38 the other 51 and they were that size.

Regards,sec昴宿六 2https://www.blogger.com/profile/13196337571525550080noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25683662.post-51443970824458426312008-05-30T02:01:00.000-04:002008-05-30T02:01:00.000-04:00Alex wrote:What does it say when 88-90% of the peo...Alex wrote:
What does it say when 88-90% of the people who were sent the survey did not respond?

That's a typical response rate in direct mail survey and marketing. Based on the sample that was reported, there were some very interesting findings. However, I am concerned about the return rate. What does it say when 88-90% of the people who were sent the survey did not respond?

With that return rate, it's hard to make statistical generations of any kind. Yet, the presentation to Grand Lodge was filled with all sorts of hype and good vibes. I hope that the GL officers don't spin the results as representative of masons raised in or new to Indiana over the past 3 years.Alex Ruthmannhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15153942991496283693noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25683662.post-22125503317192663742008-05-29T16:44:00.000-04:002008-05-29T16:44:00.000-04:00I'm pestering him for an article in The Journal of...I'm pestering him for an article in The Journal of The Masonic Society later this year. The brother who gave the presentation had just seen summaries and excerpts and is sifting through all of the replies now for his more in-depth report.Christopher Hodapphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04201859873755654395noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25683662.post-84214760026549472442008-05-27T19:09:00.000-04:002008-05-27T19:09:00.000-04:00That was a good and an upbeat article. What you have already spoken of - the fact that younger Masons are wanting to take their time, with more difficult requirements - does not surprise me. I myself feel the same way, as do many of the Brothers that I know who are in their 20s and 30s.

In this day and age where the Internet is everywhere, and used for everything - the face-to-face, in-person nature of Masonry is one of the things that attracted me to the Craft. Sure, I love talking to you online. But meeting you in person, listening to hear you speak - and to have an awesome dinner was definitely more rewarding.

Interesting findings, my Brother. I look forward to see what else came of this survey. Might you be able to send a copy of the questions along to me, for review?

[mm]Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
