It is a racially segregated organization. The article didn't make it clear whether the application was made by "white Masons" or "black Masons," but there is a fair chance that the fire station will be called upon to serve both of these separate communities.<br /><br />Race politics are the worst kind. In my opinion, these "Masons" should prioritize adhering to their principles (i.e. Universality and tolerance) before touting them symbolically in the public. <br /><br />Bro.
