Can he send his lap dog Jay Pearson to bring charges against them out of state like he tried to in Arkansas? This is clandestine!!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25683662.post-89455866914966671402021-02-07T09:27:06.988-05:002021-02-07T09:27:06.988-05:00As a brother in New Mexico, I do not get the fear ...As a brother in New Mexico, I do not get the fear of Zoom and other online options. The Grand Lodge cancelled the 2020 annual communication and grand officer installation, switched officer balloting to mail-in ballots, and then rescheduled the annual communication two months later to Zoom and Facebook Live in May 2020. The annual budget and legislation communication was held in November 2020 via Zoom, and the Grand Master's recommendation on proficiency that my lodge feared was not passed. Lodges were encouraged to vote for their 2021 officers via mail or Zoom, and were encouraged to do virtual installations via Zoom. The next annual communication will most likely be via Zoom as well.

New Mexico has this figured out quite well. We adapt to the pandemic and we persevere, we do not throw away the Bylaws and the core concept of democracy just because of a national emergency. Why can't other Grand Lodges do the same?Michael R.http://nmmasons.orgnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25683662.post-22388853291010458252021-02-07T07:18:08.359-05:002021-02-07T07:18:08.359-05:00Patriotic and learned societies are finding that z...Patriotic and learned societies are finding that zoom and online meetings are effective alternatives to face to face meetings, and that use of zoom and online increase participation of members. Hybrid meetings are the future.

Leaders of foundations and universities do not spend 10,000 on deluxe travel; it is inappropriate to use money that could go for charity for children and for the elderly on gaudy ostentation. The grand master should not tart himself up with fancy travel, a gaudy gold medal, and embroidered gilt apron. The grand master of New York and his compliant officers do not understand the meaning of Freemasonry. They have sullied it. Those who agree should then wear the white aprons that are the symbols of real virtue. Bro. In the interest of fairness, you might want to refer to that. I cannot, as I will not post publicly what I received (as a Brother in the jurisdiction) from the Grand Master without his permission, but I suspect someone will provide you with a copy fairly soon.

R:.
