Nude Trump Statues Appear With Masonic Rings

PLEASE TAKE NOTE: I am taking no public sides in the current political debate regarding the run for the presidency. I am simply reporting this peculiar development.

The latest exhibits of intelligent political commentary and discourse this election cycle have mysteriously appeared in several major cities across the U.S. today in the form of portly, nude caricature statues of Donald Trump. I will bypass the low-hanging fruit of commenting on the common criticisms among more purportedly "progressive" members of society against those who engage in "body shaming."  But one does wonder what the public reaction would be to a similar erection of Mrs. Clinton.

I will simply leave it to your own discretion to search for more revealing images of them online.

But I am posting this carefully cropped image of one of these alleged artistic representations to point out that the reputed Las Vegas-based sculptor included a Masonic ring on the right hand of Mr. Trump. I suspect it is supposed to make a visual accusation of the common "New World Order" cliché that traditionally pops up around political candidates every four years. (If you really feel the inclination, click the image above to enlarge.)

The statues were installed by an "activist collective" that goes by the name INDECLINE.

In any case, just for the record, Mr. Trump is not known to actually be a member of the Masonic fraternity.

(By the way, don't bother attempting to post a link to this story on Facebook. Mr. Zuckerberg's robotic censors have had a sudden, unexpected attack of good taste and are blocking it.)

UPDATE 8/28/16:

Brother Greg Stewart over at the Freemason Information blogsite actually got in touch with the artist, "Ginger" (aka Joshua Monroe) who sculpted the statues to personally find out why the Masonic ring was included on Trump's finger.

  1. It appears that it's the same statue all around the country with multiple copies. All have the ring.

  4. I don't get this. Trump has not been connected to freemasonry. Furthermore, both Obama and Bill Clinton are known 33 degree Master Masons, and Hillary wears a Phoenix emblem clutching the globe lapel pill most of he time.

Strange that they would add the ring. Again, he is the only candidate in awhile we don't have proof is part of freemasonry.

    1. No, neither Bill Clinton nor President Obama are, or ever have been, Freemasons, let alone 33° Scottish Rite Masons. Bill Clinton was a member of the Masonic youth group DeMolay as a teenager, but never went on to join the fraternity as an adult. And Obama has never been affiliated with Freemasonry at all throughout his life.

The last U.S. president who was a Freemason was Gerald R. Ford. He was initiated on September 30, 1949, in Malta Lodge No. 465, in Grand Rapids Michigan, along with his half-brothers Thomas G. Ford, Richard A. Ford, and James F. Ford. His Fellow Craft and Master Mason degrees were conferred by Columbia Lodge No. 3, in Washington, D.C., on April 20 and May 18, 1951, as a courtesy to his lodge in Michigan. He was also a Scottish Rite Mason and made a Sovereign Grand Inspector General, 33rd degree in the Supreme Council A.A.S.R. Northern Jurisdiction at the Academy of Music in Philadelphia, on September 26, 1962. He was also a Shriner.

Public figures in the United States who are Masons are generally pretty forthcoming about their Masonic record, and in the case of Masonic presidents, their lodges and grand lodges are proud to be associated with them.

What you think Hillary has to do with Freemasonry, I have no idea. But there is no record of her association with the fraternity anywhere that is a legitimate source of information.

    1. Women can not be masons. Order of eastern star, Jobs daughters or rainbow girls. That's about it.

    2. Women cannot be regular, recognized Masons. They DO have unrecognized options. In case you think it's just not possible for some reason, more than 20% of the Masons in France are women. And UGLE has said that, apart from being women, the female grand lodges in England are otherwise regular.

      Just to be precise. :)

  6. The guy would have got the same amount of fame without the ring added.

  7. I am a Mason and am confused as to why one of the most well known global communities in the world is still considered a secret society. The artist's reasoning of using the ring as a cheeky way to imply Trump's association with secret societies seems inconsiderate to the reputation of Freemasonry and all the good work done by my brethren around the world. It has often been said that we are a not a secret society but a society with secrets but even that statement, with respect, is a little hard to accept, there is very little about Masonic rituals and rites that are not readily if not gladly shared. I believe the only true secret in Freemasonry can best be described by the Latin term 'Nosce te ipsum', a secret that we all carry to the grave unrevealed.
