Indiana Lodges Google Map

Attention all Indiana brethren and those wishing to visit a lodge here.

Jacob Šavlik has created a Google map of all of the current lodges of the Grand Lodge of Indiana F&AM.

CLICK HERE and then zoom in.

I don't know if other jurisdictions have been similarly catalogued. Let me know if yours has.

(Please stop writing to me to say your Indiana lodge isn't on it. I believe they are all in the dropdown list on the left side of the page. Click the name and its spot on the map is highlighted. The map was generated off of a Grand Lodge list from two years ago. If you discover errors, please contact Jacob Šavlik via Facebook)

  1. Grand Lodges using the MORI system can have this as part of their website with a simple API include, taking the information directly from the database so when phone numbers or addresses change, it's always up-to-date. http://www.mainemason.org/lodges/index.asp

  2. The Grand Lodge of Virginia has a similar tool available :

    PENNSYLVANIA

The Official Grand Lodge "Lodge Locator" (not a map, but will show a map of the individual Lodge's location) is at http://lims.pagrandlodge.org/

I have created a map showing all Pennsylvania Masonic Lodges using Batch-Geo, which can be seen here:
    http://batchgeo.com/map/5391867ac8cac42d7a0bce4536be4ed4
which has been shortened to: http://tinyurl.com/PA-Lodges (not case sensitive)

Or, if you prefer Google maps, go here:

which has been shortened to: http://tinyurl.com/GLPenn (not case sensitive)

Another Google version put together by an unknown party (but, unfortunately, with multiple errors in terms of Lodges that no longer exists and some improperly labeled Districts / Regions) can be found here:

Similar maps for the Grand Commandery of Knights Templar of Pennsylvania can be found here:

which has been shortened to: http://tinyurl.com/gcktpa-s

For those who want this data right in their personal GPS, you can download the files I have at http://www.poi-factory.com/node/36075 They are available in Garmin (GPX), TomTom (OV2) or generic (CSV) formats, and like the maps above, they all use the actual GPS coordinates of the Lodges, not the published mailing or street address which often gives erroneous results. GPS files for the other bodies (York Rite, Scottish Rite, Shrine, Masonic "Homes") are also linked there. That site does have some files for a few other states, and Canada, as well.

I started this GPS project for the Grand Lodge several years ago and spent many months verifying the GPS coordinates of the, then, 432 Lodges in Pennsylvania. I update the master database following each the Grand Secretary's posting of changes that is announced once or twice a year. There have been no new Lodges created for a while so I have not posted the updates that only merged a few lodges each year, but I will due so after the June Quarterly Communication this year.

I hope some of you find this useful.
